DENVER—The Southern Ute Indian Tribe has been awarded $110,000 from the organizer of a defunct motorcycle festival.

The Colorado Court of Appeals ruled Thursday that the organizer of the defunct Rally in the Rockies owes the tribe for breach of contract in a 2006 lawsuit.

The tribe sued rally organizer Daniel Bradshaw, who agreed to hold the rally for three years at the Sky Ute Event Center in Ignacio. After a disagreement between Bradshaw and the tribe, the rally was canceled in 2006. The tribe sued Bradshaw for breach of contract, and a lower judge sided with the tribe.

The three-judge appeals court on Thursday upheld the decision against the motorcycle organizer.
