FORT CARSON — The Defense Department says a soldier from Fort Carson has died in Iraq.
Pentagon officials announced Wednesday that Pfc. Christopher T. Fox died Sept. 29 in Adhamiyah, Iraq, from injuries suffered from small- arms fire during a patrol.
Fox was 21 and from Memphis, Tenn.
He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 68th Armor Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division based at Fort Carson.
Fox enlisted in the military in March 2005. Fox was serving his second tour in Iraq.
