An Aurora company is pouring concrete at the rate of a floor a week in each of two new downtown Denver high-rises.

Concrete Frame Associates poured the 30th floor on Thursday for the Spire building, a 41-story condominium project at 14th and Champa streets.

Last week, it also poured the 15th floor at the 45-story Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences at 14th and Arapahoe streets.

On pour days, about 200 people work at the Four Seasons and 400 work at the Spire. The number of workers at the Four Seasons is expected to jump to 400 when interior finish work starts. Interior finish work has started at the Spire.

When complete, the Four Seasons will have 240 hotel rooms and 102 private residences ranging from 1,000 square feet to 6,100 square feet. Half of the residences have sold.

When the Spire is finished, it will include 503 condos with prices starting at $200,000. Sales of the units are expected to start in January. In addition to the condos, there will be 7,633 square feet of street-level retail space.
