DENVER—The NFL has named Broncos kicker Matt Prater AFC special teams player of the week after he made all three field goal attempts in a 16-13 victory over Tampa Bay Sunday.
Prater has piled up a league-high 51 points and made all four of his field goals from 50 yards or more. He’s one kick shy a franchise single-season record for most field goals of more than 50 yards.
Prater replaced former Broncos kicker Jason Elam this year, who went to Atlanta in free agency.
