Prosecutors charged actor Ryan O’Neal and his son, Redmond, on Wednesday with felony drug possession. The two were arrested Sept. 17 after Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies conducting a probation search at the 67-year-old actor’s home said they found methamphetamine on the son, 23, and in his father’s bedroom. . . . Author Gore Vidal, 83, says he fractured his spine in a fall two weeks ago and was briefly hospitalized.
