DAD GETS CUSTODY

LINCOLN—The Nebraska Supreme Court has sided with a Perkins County father who has been seeking custody of two sons who had been living with their maternal grandparents. The high court overturned a district court decision that the boys should stay with the grandparents who had been raising them off and on since the 1990s and permanently since 2006.

RAPID CITY, S.D.—A Nebraska man accused of driving drunk and killing two people near Pine Ridge will remain in custody. U.S. Magistrate Judge Veronica Duffy denied a request from the attorney for Timothy Hotz, 60, of Rushville, Neb., that he be released from custody to live with a daughter in Rushville.
