LAS VEGAS — Marc Turnesa topped the leaderboard for the third straight day at the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Child ren Open, shooting a 3-under-par 69 on Saturday to take a one-stroke lead over three players.
The PGA Tour rookie had a 21-under 195 total. Chris DiMarco (63), Michael Allen (64) and Ken Duke (67) were tied for second.
• Morgan Pressel moved into position for her first LPGA Tour victory of the year, shooting a 5-under 67 for a share of the third-round lead in the Kapalua LPGA Classic in Hawaii.
• Bernhard Langer shot a 5-under 67 and was tied for the lead with Lonnie Nielsen (68) and Brad Bryant (68) after two rounds of the Administaff Small Business Classic in The Woodlands, Texas.
• Sweden’s Robert Karlsson moved into contention for his third straight European tour title by sharing the lead at the rain-suspended Portugal Masters in Vilamoura.
Red Bulls goalkeeper scores
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — Danny Cepero of the New York Red Bulls became the first goalkeeper to score in an MLS game in a 3-1 win over the Columbus Crew.
Cepero’s goal came when he took a direct kick from his own 25-yard line in the 83rd minute. The ball bounced high about 20 yards in front of the goal and went in over the head of Columbus goalie Andy Gruenebaum.

• Herculez Gomez scored in the waning seconds of second-half stoppage time, giving the Kansas City Wizards a 3-2 victory over the San Jose Earthquakes.
• Rohan Ricketts scored two goals in Toronto FC’s 3-2 win over the Chicago Fire.
• Will Johnson scored the game-winning goal as Real Salt Lake beat FC Dallas 3-1.
Nadal will remain No. 1
MADRID, Spain — Rafael Nadal will end the year as the top-ranked men’s tennis player after he and Roger Federer lost in the semifinals of the Madrid Masters.
Andy Murray and Gilles Simon will meet in the final. Simon upset Nadal 3-6, 7-5, 7-6 (6) after Murray beat Federer 3-6, 6-3, 7-5.
• Venus Williams rallied from a set down to beat Ana Ivanovic 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 in the Zurich Open semifinals in Switzerland.
Williams will face Flavia Pennetta, who defeated Anabel Medina Garrigues 6-3, 7-6 (6) today.
