COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Albuquerque, Denver, Las Vegas, Salt Lake City and San Diego have been named finalists to host the Mountain West Conference men’s and women’s basketball championships from 2011 through 2013.
The conference said Wednesday the winning city will be announced in June.
Previous championships have been held in Las Vegas and Denver. The current series is also in Las Vegas.
The arenas under consideration are The Pit in Albuquerque, the Pepsi Center in Denver, the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, the Energy Solutions Arena or E Center in Salt Lake City and Cox Arena in San Diego.
