DENVER—The Colorado Avalanche’s game tying goal against the Vancouver Canucks Wednesday was scored by Marek Svatos, not Paul Stastny.
The team Thursday announced the NHL’s scoring change that also gave assists to Stastny and Wojtek Wolski.
Svatos goal in an early third-period power play sent the game into overtime that ended in a shootout and 2-1 Avalanche victory. Wolski and Svatos scored in the shootout.
