LOVELAND, Colo.—An informal memorial left by the family of a Loveland shooting victim has disappeared, and police say someone involved in the young man’s death may have taken it.

Family members say candles, flowers and a metal cross that 23-year-old Casey Harvey used as the inspiration for a tattoo disappeared from the parking lot of Thompson Valley High School.

The memorial was near the spot where Casey was gunned down early Saturday.

Loveland police Sgt. Bob Shaffer says the items likely were taken by “someone involved somehow” in the slaying.

An 18-year-old suspect in the slaying was arrested Sunday.
