CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — Chelsea Shine scored 15 points and Whitny Edwards added 14 points and 11 rebounds to lead No. 16 Virginia to a 77-43 victory over Colorado on Monday night.

Monica Wright had 11 points and 10 rebounds, and Aisha Mohammed scored 10 points to go with 14 rebounds for the Cavaliers (3-1), who outrebounded Colorado 68-43.

Virginia led by 10 at the half before using a 23-5 run in the second half to take a 56-29 lead on Edwards’ jumper with 10:10 left in the game.

Kelly Jo Mullaney scored 10 points to lead the Buffaloes (2-1).

Nebraska 76, Denver 55

Cory Montgomery scored 20 points and had nine rebounds to lead the Cornhuskers (4-0) at Magness Arena.

The Pioneers (1-2) shot 58 percent from the field in the first half but still trailed 33-32 at intermission. Nebraska shot 58 percent in the second half to pull away.

Brianna Culberson led DU with 12 points. Ashly Robinson added 10.
