Lakewood police are investigating a threatening letter that contained powder opened today by a city resident.
The powder was apparently a bodybuilding dietary supplement, said Micki Trost, spokeswoman for West Metro Fire Protection District, which dispatched a hazardous material team to the home.
“We’re 99 percent positive its a bodybuilding powder,” said Trost. “But the letter was very threatening, and that’s been turned over to Lakewood police.”
A spokesman for Lakewood Police was not immediately available. The home is in the 1400 block of Benton Street in Lakewood.
