AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo.—A general court-martial is scheduled to begin Monday at the Air Force Academy for an airman facing multiple charges including sexual assault.

Airman First Class Derick R. Thompson of the 10th Medical Support Squadron is charged with four violations of the Uniform Code of Military Justice.

They include sexual assault, failure to obey a superior’s order, using a government owned vehicle to purchase alcohol, and providing alcohol to persons under age 21.

Details of the alleged offenses were not immediately available.

An Article 32 hearing convened in July to investigate the allegations against Thompson.

The General Court-Martial Convening Authority later ruled the case should proceed to court-martial.
