CORVALLIS, Ore.—Daniel Deane’s two free throws with 8.3 seconds remaining Saturday gave Oregon State a 64-63 win against Nebraska. Nebraska’s Ade Dagunduro missed a contested 12-footer from the baseline just before time expired.

Omari Johnson tied a career high with 19 points and 10 rebounds for Oregon State (2-5), which ended a 25-game losing streak Nov. 30 at Fresno State and has now won two of three.

Calivin Haynes added 14 points for the Beavers, and Deane had 13 points and 10 rebounds.

Dagunduro led Nebraska (6-2) with 16 points and five rebounds. The game included 11 ties and 20 lead changes, including eight ties and 18 lead changes in the second half.

Deane’s two foul shots with 27 seconds left put Oregon State ahead 62-61. Nebraska went back ahead on a pair of Dagunduro free throws with 10.9 seconds remaining. An inbounds pass by Oregon State’s Rickey Claitt was up for grabs but snagged by Deane near midcourt.

Nebraska’s Cookie Miller missed a shot at the basket, and the ball went out of bounds with 1.1 seconds left.

Dagunduro’s high-arching shot at the buzzer hit the rim but bounced away. Oregon State finished 16 of 46 (39.1 percent) from the floor, and Nebraska was 22 of 53 (41.5). Nebraska erased an early 8-2 deficit to tie the game at 8-8.

Johnson hit his third 3-pointer of the game to give Oregon State a 19-13 lead with 8:04 remaining.

Harley’s mid-range jumper with 3:37 left capped a 7-0 Nebraska run to give the Cornhuskers their first lead at 22-21. Oregon State ended the half on a 5-2 run to lead 27-26.

The teams combined to shoot just 17 of 47 from the field and commit 21 turnovers in the first half.
