Anyone familiar with , the long-running, Boulder-based radio show, knows the program offers a thoughtful mix of interviews and performances — and not a straight-up concert experience. That suited the Denver hip-hop act fine when they stopped by the Colorado Springs installment last Wednesday at Armstrong Hall.
The sold-out event featured a tamer, perhaps more “distinguished” crowd than Flobots is used to. The crowd also learned that head MCs Jonny 5 and Brer Rabbit would soon be off to South Africa to lead workshops that build worth in their participants through music and creative expression. Reverb contributing photographer was there to snap photos of the evening, which also included Brooklynite Matthew Caws (of ).
