A Lakeside police officer suffered a minor leg injury after being struck by a car at about 8:45 a.m., according to Jefferson County authorities.
The officer was westbound on Interstate 70 at Harlan Street when his car was struck by another vehicle.
He got out of his car to investigate and was struck by another vehicle. He received a minor leg injury, said a spokeswoman for the Jefferson County sheriff’s department.
Colorado State Trooper David Hall said the Lakeside officer refused medical treatment.
