COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Authorities say a 53-year-old man has died in a fire at his home in the town of Simla, southwest of Limon.

Simla Police Chief Jim Leach says the man’s mobile home was engulfed in flames when emergency crews arrived shortly after 1 p.m. Tuesday.

He says the body of Delbert Swarm was found inside, hunched over several oxygen tanks. Leach says it appears Swarm was smoking near the tanks, which likely started the blaze.

A garage and storage shed also burned, and a nearby home had extensive siding damage.
