Reverb regular Chandra Carney checks in with this report from headlining set on Saturday at , which she photographed with fellow Reverb contributor :

“Among the frigid Vail air and large snowflakes continually falling, a dedicated crowd gathered to watch Denver’s own the Fray and preview their upcoming albums, both due in early 2009. The concert, part of the three-day Vail Snow Daze, brought fans from across Colorado to experience true December mountain weather. It was the second time for the bands to play back-to-back in the Vail Valley, the first being an indoor show in 2007.

Meese took stage to face the anxious and slowly-freezing crowd, churning out new, polished tunes. Their melodic pop-rock perfectly blends electronic tones and sincere lyrics. As the night progressed, the snow came down harder, covering the crowd in two- to three inches of snow. The Fray came on and the snow picked up yet again as they showcased new songs from their upcoming, self-titled album and favorites from their debut, ‘How to Save a Life.'”
