A 20-year-old woman from Northglenn was killed early today when the car she was riding in spun out of control in the Interstate 76 and Interstate 270 interchange, according to the Colorado State Patrol.
Samantha Harvel died when the 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer driven by 22-year-old Craig Stickels of Thornton crashed into the guardrail about 2:30 a.m., according to the State Patrol.
Stickels is in serious condition at Denver Health Medical Center.
Troopers said alcohol and speed were factors in the crash.
