FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.—A man wanted in Arkansas, Colorado, and Michigan on robbery and parole violations has been arrested, the U.S. Marshals Office announced Monday.
Jason Stallcup, 37, was jailed in western Michigan after his arrest at a motel, following a police chase in which several vehicles were damaged, the U.S. Marshals Office for the Western District of Arkansas said in a news release.
Stallcup was wanted in Michigan for parole violations and in Arkansas and Colorado on robbery charges.
Authorities allege he robbed the Romance Diamond Company in Fayetteville at gunpoint Dec. 15, then fled the state.
A tip called in to local police near Lansing, Mich., helped lead to Stallcup’s arrest, the release said.
Stallcup has a criminal record, including kidnapping, burglary, and battery convictions, dating back to 2000. He was released from an Arkansas prison in January 2003 and placed on state supervision, but absconded less than four months later, the release said. Stallcup is to be extradited to Arkansas after the Michigan case is resolved.
