BOULDER, Colo.—The University of Colorado says volleyball coach Pi’i Aiu has stepped down.

Aiu has compiled a record of 199-154 in his 12 seasons as head coach at CU. He is the winningest head coach in school history.

However, the Buffaloes finished the 2008 season with a 13-16 record and were tied for eighth in the Big 12 with a record of 7-13.

Athletic director Mike Bohn says the search for Aiu’s replacement will begin immediately.
