A Greeley family successfully evacuated their home this morning when a fire started in the wall between the garage and the house.
The Union Colony Fire Rescue Authority got the call just before 8:00 a.m. and 20 firefighters responded to the single-family home in the 2400 block of 11th Avenue, the agency said in a news release.
“Fire crews quickly attacked the fire using hoses pre-connected to the fire engine, and the majority of the fire was extinguished within minutes,” the release said.
It took about an hour to get the rest of the fire, which had spread into the walls and attic of the house.
No one was injured, and damages were estimated at $15,000.
Investigators will determine the cause of the blaze.
