Highlights from the Legislature on Wednesday:
— The House Business Affairs committee approved a measure that would allow insurance companies to offer incentives for clients who join wellness programs, including discounts, rebates and reduced copays (House Bill 1012). The bill now goes to the full House for debate.
New bills:
— Limits the number of animals housed by dog breeders and allows state inspectors to revoke their license if animals are being mistreated (House Bill 1172).
— Allows an employee locked out by an employer in a labor dispute to collect unemployment (House Bill 1170).
