A 50-year-old man has been charged with sexually assaulting two 9-year-old girls, one of whom told investigators that the man — a friend of her mother and grandmother — had been molesting her since she was 4.
Denver District Attorney Mitch Morrissey on Wednesday filed multiple charges of sexual assault on a child against Andres Hidalgo, who is being held in lieu of $200,000 bond at Denver County Jail.
The first of the two victims said she had been sleeping at Hidalgo’s house and in his bed for years and was first molested when she was 4 or 5 years old.
The second 9-year-old said she was raped by Hidalgo once.
Hidalgo is set to appear at 1:30 p.m. Feb. 2 for a preliminary hearing in Denver County Court.
