DENVER—Josh Peek of Pueblo won the tie-down roping and all-around championships Sunday at the National Western Stock Show rodeo.
Peek tied his calf in 8.6 seconds to finish third in the finals and captured the title with a total of 24.9 seconds. Peek also competed in steer wrestling and won a total of $13,158.
Tim Shirley of Conifer tied Dustin Reeves of Owanka, S.D. for the bareback riding championship but Shirley took home the Jeffrey Scott championship buckle after winning a coin toss. Officials will order another buckle for Reeves.
Nancy Hunter of Neola, Utah won the barrel racing finals and took home the most prize money—$16,357.
Kanin Asay of Powell, Wyo. won the bull riding title four months after undergoing surgery to remove his spleen because of a rodeo injury.
