Aurora police today announced the arrest last week of Maurice Donte Martin, 20, who is suspected of fatally shooting a woman who tried to break up an argument he was allegedly involved in.
Shunda Renee Jackson, 37, a single mother of three, was shot several times when she tried to calm two groups of people arguing in a parking lot in the 9700 block of E. Colfax Avenue on Jan. 19.
Martin is being held without bond in the Adams County Jail on a charge of first-degree murder.
