Getting your player ready...
The International Pedigree Stage Stop Sled Dog Race began Friday night at the Town Square in Jackson, Wyo. Hundreds of spectators lined the streets to get a look at the dogs and their mushers as they rode out of town. “It was really exciting,” said one musher, Krista Halsnes, of Steamboat Springs. “I haven’t been around a crowd like that before. It definitely hypes the dogs up, and it’s certainly fun to hear your name being announced.” Stops in the 345-mile race are scheduled in Lander, Cora, Pinedale, Big Piney, Kemmerer and Evanston. The race will wrap up in Park City, Utah, on Feb. 7. The Associated Press
