DENVER — Denver authorities say they’ve identified a man who lured a married couple into a backyard then attacked them and sexually assaulted the woman 13 years ago.
Forty-two-year-old Gradie Miles faces several charges, including aggravated sexual assault a second-degree kidnapping in the attack that happened in February 1996.
Denver District Attorney Mitch Morrissey on Friday said he charged Miles after detectives in the Cold Case Project identified him through DNA.
Miles had been in custody for another case that happened in May. Morrissey and police say Miles also faces charges in a 1993 sexual assault also linked to him through DNA.
He was in custody without bond at Denver County Jail. He is scheduled in court Tuesday morning.
