The Los Angeles Lakers are quickly gaining a reputation as streak busters.

First, they ended Boston’s 19-game winning streak on Christmas Day. Then they halted a 12-game run by the Celtics last week.

On Sunday, they put an end to the Cavaliers’ 23-0 run at Quicken Loans Arena with a 101-91 victory. It was the Cavs’ first loss at home since Game 5 against the Wizards in last season’s playoffs.

“I didn’t want it to happen, but I’m glad it’s over,” said Cavs star LeBron James, pictured, who scored 16 points but was 5-of-20 from the field.

While the Cavs’ streak was impressive, it was a long way from matching the NBA’s all-time home winning streak of 44, which was set by the Chicago Bulls in April 1996, spanning two seasons.

The Lakers, who got a season-high 28 points from Lamar Odom on Sunday, went 6-0 on a road trip that also included stops in Minnesota, Memphis, New York, Toronto and Boston.
