TOKYO — Nissan says it sank into a net loss for the fiscal third quarter and will cut 20,000 jobs, or 8.5 percent of its global workforce, over the next year to cope with the global downturn. Battered by the slump in the worldwide auto market, Nissan also lowered its forecast today for the fiscal year through March, saying it now expects a net loss.
