A Loveland man has been accused of breaking into a former girlfriend’s apartment and killing her cat.
John Muchow, 33, was arrested Saturday on suspicion of burglary, aggravated cruelty to animals and domestic violence, Loveland Police said.
Muchow was held at the Larimer County Jail in Fort Collins.
The victim told police that Muchow illegally entered her home in December and intentionally killed her cat.
The victim’s allegations led to a crime-scene investigation in which enough evidence was gathered for the arrest, police said in a news release.
