Police are searching for a young man who robbed OxyContin and other narcotics from a pharmacy while claiming to have a gun, authorities say.
The suspect robbed the pharmacy at the Sears/Kmart shopping center at 2150 S. Monaco Parkway on Jan. 28 by showing a pharmacist a note that said he had a gun.
The note demanded the pharmacist give him OxyContin and other narcotics, according to Sonny Jackson, Denver police spokesman.
The robber then demanded money from a cash register and fled the pharmacy, Jackson said.
The suspect is described as white, 5-foot-7, 140 pounds, between 18 and 21 years old, with slight facial hair. He was wearing blue jeans, a black hooded sweatshirt, a black baseball cap with SWAT logo on the front and white tennis shoes.
