Patick Cordova allegedly caused the evacuation of a Wal—Mart in Longmont this afternoon after he showed up threatening to shoot a tire center employee he suspected of having an affair with his wife, Longmont Police said.
By the time officers arrived, Cordova, who turned 51 today, had left. He was later arrested on misdemeanor menacing and disorderly conduct charges.
Longmont police said he showed up at the store at about 2:30 p.m., asked for the employee and said he had a pistol and intended to shoot him.
The store was evacuated during the search. One employee fell ill from the excitement, but no one else was injured, police said.
Cordova surrendered without incident at his home in the 1400 block of Twin Sisters Drive. His wife was not home. She was found with family later and was not injured, police said.
