CRAIG, Colo.—Moffat County High School girls basketball coach Craig Mortensen has won his 500th career game.
Mortensen, a coach at the Craig school for 32 years, reached the milestone on Tuesday when Moffat County beat Steamboat Springs 42-30.
His career record is 500-251.
Mortensen started coaching at McClave High School in Bent County in 1973. He moved to Moffat County High in 1976, first coaching boys before switching to the girls team starting with the 1995-96 season.
