LINCOLN, Neb.—Adam Bailey hit his fifth home run of the season and drove in four runs and Kyle Bubak went 4-for-5 with two doubles, leading Nebraska in an 11-2 victory over South Dakota State on Wednesday.
Casey Hauptman (2-0) limited the Jackrabbits to one run and four hits over six innings. Losing pitcher Caleb Thielbar (0-3) allowed four runs and eight hits in 4 1-3 innings.
Bailey’s three-run homer highlighted a five-run eighth inning for the Cornhuskers (6-3-1), who finished with 16 hits.
Billy Stitz hit an RBI triple in the third for the Jackrabbits (1-6), who lost their fifth straight.
