FORT MORGAN — Two men were hurt but expected to recover after a homemade, single-engine plane they were on crashed Saturday morning in Fort Morgan.

The crash happened at about 11:40 a.m., when the homemade plane lost power about 50 feet off the ground and crashed. Both the plane wings popped off. Two unnamed men aboard were hospitalized, though they walked away from the crash and were expected to recover.

Fort Morgan Municipal Airport was closed for two hours after the crash. The crash is under investigation.
