A man was in critical condition after a shooting just before 6:30 p.m. on Broadway outside RTD’s Civic Center Station.
Denver Police spokesman Sonny Jackson said a fight erupted among a large group of people. One man pulled out a gun and fired multiple times, hitting the victim in his back.
The suspect fled, but police caught him in an alley between Emerson and Ogden streets.
Names of the suspect and victim were not released.
Jackson said the shooting is under investigation by the department’s gang unit.
