Firefighters are ruling a brush fire that burned 30 acres in the Lowry neighborhood March 8 accidental.
Denver Fire tells 9NEWS three teenagers were playing with a lighter in a field and that’s what sparked the fire in the cattails.
Firefighters say all three tried to put the fire out, stayed at the scene, and confessed to authorities.
The two 18-year-olds and 17-year-old were given municipal citations for “deliberate or negligent burning.”
No structures were damaged in that fire.
