SEOUL, South Korea — News reports say an American journalist is being held by the North Korean military near the country’s border with China.
A report in today’s Munhwa Ilbo newspaper says the female reporter was detained Tuesday near the river between the North Korean town of Sinuiju and the Chinese city of Dandong. The South Korean network YTN says she’s a Korean-American reporter for online media.
The U.S. Embassy in Seoul and the South Korean Foreign Ministry say they have no information about the reported incident.
