The Denver Hispanic Chamber of Commerce honored several local business leaders and companies at its 23rd Business Awards Luncheon on Thursday:

Lifetime Achievement: John Ortiz, for his work as Hispanic ambassador for Coors Brewing Co. throughout a 35-year career at the brewery
and since his retirement in 2008. Ortiz, a former U.S. Army reservist, joined Coors in 1968.

Businesswoman of the Year: Maria Vogt, president and chief executive of Ayuda Management.

Businessman of the Year: Tim Marquez, CEO of Venoco. Marquez and his wife, Bernie, founded the Denver Scholarship Foundation in 2006.

Chamber Advocate of the Year: Jenee Centeno of Total Longterm Care.

Corporate Advocate of the Year: Anheuser-Busch.

President’s Award: Visit Denver, the city’s visitor and convention bureau, particularly for its work during last year’s Democratic National
Convention and for the upcoming United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce National Convention in September.
