FORT COLLINS, Colo.—The State Patrol says two people are dead after being thrown from the motorcycle they were riding.
The patrol says they believe drugs or alcohol were a factor in the accident along a frontage road northeast of Interstate 25 near Fort Collins. Troopers say the victims were a 25-year-old man from Fort Collins and a 24-year-old woman from Thornton. Their names were not released.
Neither rider was wearing a helmet in the Sunday morning crash. The State Patrol says the motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed when it skidded near a curve.
Both riders were pronounced dead at the scene.
