DENVER—Disgraced former Qwest CEO Joe Nacchio will be sleeping in his own bed Monday night.
Nacchio was originally ordered to report to a minimum-security prison in Pennsylvania Monday.
But Nacchio will remain in Denver while U.S. District Judge Marcia Krieger reviews his request for bail. Nacchio has asked the U.S. Supreme Court to review his insider-trading conviction and wants to remain free while the high court decides whether it will take his case.
Krieger put Nacchio’s prison sentence on hold Thursday. Nacchio was convicted in 2007 of 19 counts of insider trading while at the helm of Qwest Communications International Inc.
Qwest is the nation’s third-largest phone company.
