TUCSON, Ariz.—The Colorado Rockies have optioned infielder Joe Koshansky and pitcher Greg Reynolds to Triple-A Colorado Springs.
The team also reassigned pitcher Jhoulys Chacin (joh-LEES’ cha-SEEN’) to minor league camp.
The moves came Monday.
The right-handed Reynolds was in the running for the fifth spot in the rotation before being optioned. He was 1-0 this spring with a 5.54 ERA.
Reynolds was the second overall pick in the 2006 draft. He made his major league debut last season, going 2-8 with an 8.13 ERA.
Koshansky hit .241 with two home runs and seven RBIs.
