Former Enron Corp. chief executive officer Jeffrey Skilling will be resentenced July 30 after an appeals court ruled that federal sentencing guidelines were incorrectly applied in his case.

Skilling was convicted in May 2006 of 19 counts of conspiracy, fraud, insider trading and lying to auditors for his role in the fraud that brought down the world’s biggest energy trader in 2001.

Skilling is serving a 24-year sentence at a low-security federal prison in Colorado.
