GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.—Grand Junction Regional Airport is getting $8 million from in federal stimulus money to repair a ramp where airplanes park.
The U.S. Department of Transportation says the airport is one of 3,400 nationwide eligible for stimulus money.
Repair work on the ramp, also called an apron, will begin in June. The (Grand Junction) Daily Sentinel reports that construction should last about 200 days.
The airport received a similar grant of $3.4 million for apron repair from federal authorities in 2007.
