An unmarked patrol car that made a traffic stop this morning in Arapahoe County was rammed from behind as it was parked by the side of the road.
Lt. Ray Torrez, spokesman for the sheriff’s office, said the Arapahoe County deputy sheriff was inside his car when it was rammed.
At the time of the incident in the 9000 block of East Dry Creek Road, the lights of the patrol car were activated, said Torrez.
The driver who ran into the officer’s car was taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The officer, whose name was not released, appeared to have escaped injury.
Torrez said that the driver who was taken to the hospital will be ticketed.
