DENVER—A Denver grand jury has accused a certified public accountant of stealing $2.7 million from clients, including $700,000 from one family’s college trust fund.

Peter Davis Johnson faces 30 counts including theft, computer crime and violating the state organized crime control act.

No phone listing could be found for Johnson, and he is not listed in the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agency database of licensed CPAs.

The Denver District Attorney’s Office says Johnson is 64 and that a warrant has been issued for his arrest.

The indictment was handed up Wednesday and announced Thursday.

Johnson is also accused of stealing nearly $2 million from two property management companies that hired him to process rental payments.
