The University of Colorado men’s golf team shot a 299 on Tuesday in the final round to finish second at the 11th Annual CU-Stevinson Ranch Invitational in Stevinson, Calif.

Senior Patrick Grady shot a 1-under 71, finishing with an 8-under-par 208 to claim medalist honors.

Grady is the 11th player in school history to win at least two career tournaments. He also placed first in September in the DU-Ron Moore Invitational.

Senior Derek Tolan finished third overall, with a final round 2-under 70, tying two others for the second best score of the day.

It was the first time in the 11-year history of the event that host Colorado had two players in the top five and the fourth time the Buffs have finished runner-up in the tournament.

The Central Hockey League Northern Conference finals between the Colorado Eagles and the Mississippi RiverKings will begin Wednesday, April 15.

Game 1 will held at the Budweiser Events Center at 7:05 p.m., as the Eagles look to continue their playoff run.

Tickets will go on sale today at 10 a.m. and can be purchased at the Budweiser Events Center box office, , 877-544-TIXX, the Eagles’ office in Water Valley or through any ComcastTIX outlet.

Tickets for the Northern Conference finals round will cost $19 (plus applicable fees).

Bears top AFA.

Northern Colorado catcher Seth Budde went 5-for-5 with two doubles and four RBIs to lead the Bears over the Falcons 12-10 Tuesday at the Air Force Academy.

Senior Andy Mees finished 4-for-5 and hit his eighth home run of the year for Northern Colorado, which scored four runs in the second inning and six in the sixth. Matt Barattino took the loss for the Falcons. He gave up three runs on four hits in just 1/3 of an inning of work.
