DENVER—A union representing workers at major grocery chains in Colorado says negotiations on a new contract are beginning this week.
United Food and Commercial Workers Local 7 says union representatives met with Safeway representatives Thursday at a Denver hotel, with talks centering on pension benefits. Talks with King Soopers are set to begin Friday.
