BOULDER, Colo.—A man facing murder charges in a January Boulder shooting had the victim’s blood and tissue in his car.
Testimony Monday in a preliminary trial of Joseph Abeyta showed that the passenger seat in Abeyta’s Buick Regal contained blood from Abeyta’s friend, William Dwayne Andrews.
Authorities say Abeyta shot and killed Andrews after the pair committed crimes in Longmont and Boulder on Jan. 23. Police say Abeyta shot Andrews three times in the head and chest after the men argued. Arraignment is set for May 7.
